Then the people rejoiced because they had offered so willingly, for they made their offering to the Lord wholeheartedly.
1 Chronicles 29:9
On December 3rd, we celebrated our Harvest of Hope Celebration dinner. We were honored to have our friend, Pastor Edwin Freyle, who shared the impact of Bread of Hope’s work among Wayuu churches and communities.
As we looked to the harvest of 2024, we shared the impact of our disciple-making strategy and how the Wayuu people are furthering the Gospel by teaching and multiplying disciples in their communities. This year, Bread of Hope reached a significant milestone in our 2030 Decade vision. Our Sembradores Bible training in Colombia will continue to be led by Wayuu pastors. Additionally, we celebrated the completion of the Wayuu Bible translation and its publication this year.
We also presented our vision for 2025 and introduced our biggest project for next year. In partnership with Faith Comes By Hearing Ministries, we will record the Old Testament in audio; to allow the Wayuu people to have a Proclaimer (audio Bible) with the entire Word of God.
We are deeply grateful to Lebanon Baptist Church and all the volunteers who helped make that night a celebration of God’s gracious work in reaching the unreached Wayuu people. We appreciate those who have partnered with us financially and through prayer to equip pastors, empower churches, and transform communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
